1. What You Find in the Video-Lessons-Part of Lenaia.com

 

1. You find 600 little 1-minute-videos with 4 to 6 simple Chinese sentences. They are all made with professional young actors which speak Chinese very clearly.

 

2. You find 600 tables which provide all the information which you need to fully understand the content of the lessons.

 

3. For every sentence, you find 7 little exercises which enable you to practise every aspect of a sentence.

 

4. Every character in the video-lessons-part is a link to the page of the character.

 

 

 

2. What You Find on One Page

In a table, all information is presented to fully understand the content of the lesson. There is a row for the Chinese characters, a row for the Chinese Pinyin (pronunciation), a row for the basic meanings of the characters, a row for the words which are composed of several characters and a row with the English sentences.

 

 

In the first row of the table, there are the chinese characters. Every character is a link to the picture-story-page of the character.

 

In the second row of the table, you find the Pinyin (pronunciation) of the character.

 

In the third row, you see the basic meanings of the characters. If you know the basic meanings of the characters, it is often easy to guess the meaning of a Chinese word which is composed of several characters. E.g.: The basic meanings "under" and "go" make up the phrase "go down".

 

In the fourth row, you see the English translation of the Chinese words.

 

In the fifth row, you find the English translation of the entire sentence.

 

 

 

3. What You Find in the Exercises to the Sentences

The exercises help you to closely look at the sentence. You can do all of them or just one or two. They are basically little multiple-choice tests. You look at the words on the left, find the corresponding part on the right and tick the box with the respective number. Then you can check your answers by clicking on on "Check anwers".

 

 

 

4. How to Learn with the Video-Lessons

 

1. Open the page of a lessons, press the flash-player-play-button and then the pause-button! Give the video time to download!

 

2. Open a new window in the browser and go to the page of the same lesson! So, you don't interupt the video-download when you open links on the page.

 

3. Study the big table with all the information about the lesson!

 

4. Click on the E besides a sentence! Go through the exercises to the sentences!

 

5. Go back to the page on which you are downloading the video and watch the video several times while you parrot everything what you hear.

 

6. Look at the Chinese characters while you watch the video and parrot what you hear.
